Red Wing, Minnesota,
is a picturesque town situated on the Mississippi River. It offers many excellent recreational opportunities. The Mississippi River and Lake Pepin, with boating, skiing, swimming, fishing, and skating, are great attractions. Barn Bluff and Sorin Bluff are favorite hiking and picnicking areas. Colvill Park, with a large municipal swimming pool, also has boating and picnicking facilities. Several eighteen-hole golf courses are situated in the gently rolling hills of the Red Wing area. The beautiful Cannon Valley Bicycle Trail winds its way through the grounds of the Anderson Center and is available to residents of the Center. Red Wing is also home to ArtReach, Goodhue County Historical Museum, the Sheldon Theatre and the Red Wing Arts Association.
